Leo McGrady is counsel with McGrady & Company in Vancouver, British Columbia. He received his degrees from the University of Toronto and the University of Manitoba. He has been in practice as a litigation lawyer in Vancouver since 1969.
He represents unions and employees on labour relations, class actions, human rights, as well as intellectual property issues. He has written and spoken in Canada, the U.S., Mexico, and Europe on a variety of subjects, including the impact of trade agreements on human rights and labour law.
Mr. McGrady has argued cases at all levels of Courts in British Columbia and the Yukon. He has also been counsel on a number of precedent setting Charter/labour law cases at the Supreme Court of Canada.
Mr. McGrady has taught at the Faculty of Law at the University of British Columbia, the British Columbia Continuing Legal Education Society, and continues to teach at Capilano University.
He is a member of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, the U.S. National Lawyers Guild, and the American Trial Lawyers Association. He is also regularly listed by Best Lawyers in Canada, and as a leading counsel in labour and employment law by Lexpert.
